i have a HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw printer.  A month or so ago my  husband noticed an "Update" message on the printer touch screen and selected OK. Since then we cannot get the printer to connect wirelessly. When we do try to set it up, a "79 service error" is displayed. We can connect the printer using a USB cord, but when we turn the printer on it constantly turns on and off on its own. If we are lucky we can get the printer to print a document. Very weird.

Hi,

Please temporarily power off your router and restart the printer.

From its Network Settings disable IPv6 and confirm.

 

Now power on your router back and restart the printer once the internet connection returns, then check for any difference.
