@fkbennet, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
Let's get your HP DeskJet 2652 connected to Wi-Fi. Please follow these steps carefully:
Option 1: Use HP Smart App (Recommended)
Download HP Smart App:
HP Smart
Reset the printer’s network settings:
- Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together for 5 seconds until the Power light blinks. This resets the network settings.
Open HP Smart App and click “+” to add your printer.
- The app will detect printers in setup mode.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi.
Option 2: Manual Wireless Setup (Without HP Smart)
- Reset network settings as above.
- On your computer, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the printer’s temporary Wi-Fi (e.g., HP-Setup-2652).
- Open a browser and go to http://192.168.223.1
- Click Network > Wireless (802.11) and enter your home Wi-Fi credentials.
- Save and restart the printer.
Additional Tips
- Make sure your Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz (not 5 GHz), as the DeskJet 2652 only supports 2.4 GHz.
- Keep the printer close to the router during setup.
- Disable any VPNs or firewalls temporarily if using HP Smart.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
