Hi @ukonjak ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to connect your HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer to WiFi, follow these steps:
To assist you better:
- How far is the printer located from the WiFi router?
- Do you have a dual-band router?
- If you have a dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
- May I know if any light blinking on the printer?
- Which operating system you are using Windows or Mac?
- May I know if you can connect other devices to the same network?
Method 1: Using the HP Smart App
Download the HP Smart App:
- Download the HP Smart app from the HP website or your device’s app store (available for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android).
Install the HP Smart App:
- Install the app on your device and open it.
Add Printer:
- Open the HP Smart app and click on the “Add Printer” or “Set up a new printer” option.
- Ensure that your printer is powered on and that it’s near your WiFi router.
Follow On-Screen Instructions:
- The app will guide you through the setup process, including connecting your printer to your WiFi network.
- When prompted, select your WiFi network and enter the password.
Method 2: Using WPS (WiFi Protected Setup)
Locate WPS Button:
- Locate the WPS button on your WiFi router.
Initiate WPS on Printer:
- On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button for 3 seconds.
- The Wireless light should start blinking.
Press WPS on Router:
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.
- The printer will automatically connect to the WiFi network. The wireless light will stop blinking and remain solid when the connection is successful.
Method 3: Manual WiFi Setup
Prepare Printer for Setup:
- Ensure your printer is powered on.
Access Control Panel:
- On the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon or go to the Network settings.
Select WiFi Setup:
