Hi @ukonjak ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to connect your HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer to WiFi, follow these steps:

To assist you better:

  • How far is the printer located from the WiFi router?
  • Do you have a dual-band router?
  • If you have a dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
  • May I know if any light blinking on the printer?
  • Which operating system you are using Windows or Mac?
  • May I know if you can connect other devices to the same network?

Method 1: Using the HP Smart App

Download the HP Smart App:

  • Download the HP Smart app from the HP website or your device’s app store (available for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android).

Install the HP Smart App:

  • Install the app on your device and open it.

Add Printer:

  • Open the HP Smart app and click on the “Add Printer” or “Set up a new printer” option.
  • Ensure that your printer is powered on and that it’s near your WiFi router.

Follow On-Screen Instructions:

  • The app will guide you through the setup process, including connecting your printer to your WiFi network.
  • When prompted, select your WiFi network and enter the password.

Method 2: Using WPS (WiFi Protected Setup)

Locate WPS Button:

  • Locate the WPS button on your WiFi router.

Initiate WPS on Printer:

  • On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button for 3 seconds.
  • The Wireless light should start blinking.

Press WPS on Router:

  • Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.
  • The printer will automatically connect to the WiFi network. The wireless light will stop blinking and remain solid when the connection is successful.

Method 3: Manual WiFi Setup

Prepare Printer for Setup:

  • Ensure your printer is powered on.

Access Control Panel:

  • On the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon or go to the Network settings.

Select WiFi Setup:

  • Select WiFi Setup Wizard from the options.
  • The printer will search for available WiFi networks.

Choose Your Network:

  • Select your WiFi network from the list.
  • Enter your WiFi password when prompted.

Complete Setup:

  • Follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
  • The printer will connect to your WiFi network and the wireless light will remain solid.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Restart Devices: Restart your printer, router, and the device you are using to set up the printer.
  • Check Distance: Ensure the printer is within range of your WiFi router.
  • Network Settings: Verify that your WiFi network is functioning properly and that you are using the correct password.
  • Firmware Updates: Make sure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel.
  • Reset Network Settings: If all else fails, you can reset the printer’s network settings and try the setup again. On the printer control panel, navigate to Settings > Network Settings > Restore Network Defaults.
