HI @Lian90,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you can't remember the password for your Wi-Fi network and need to connect your HP printer, here are some steps you can take:
1. Check Your Wi-Fi Router
- Look for a sticker on the back or bottom of your Wi-Fi router. It often has the default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
- If the password has been changed from the default, you may need to access the router settings.
2. Access Router Settings
- Connect to the Router:
- Use a computer or device that is already connected to the Wi-Fi network.
- Open a Web Browser:
- Type the router's IP address into the address bar. Common addresses are 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. You can often find this information in the router's documentation.
- Log In:
- Enter the router's admin credentials (if you don’t know them, they might be on the sticker as well).
- Find the Wi-Fi Settings:
- Navigate to the wireless settings section to find the Wi-Fi password.
3. Reset the Router
- If you can’t access the router settings and still can’t find the password, you may need to reset the router to factory settings. This will reset the Wi-Fi name and password to the default values (check the router documentation for details).
- Note: This will affect all devices connected to the network.
4. Connect the Printer
- Once you have the Wi-Fi password, go to your HP printer’s control panel:
- Select the Setup or Network menu.
- Choose Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the prompts to enter the Wi-Fi password.
5. Use HP Smart App
- After connecting your printer to Wi-Fi, download the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer to manage the printer settings and print.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
