Hi @Rose12342,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To find the default gateway for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 printer, you can follow these steps.
Print a Network Configuration Report:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings (gear icon).
- Select Network Setup or Wireless Settings (depending on your printer's model).
- Look for an option called Print Network Configuration or Print Network Summary.
- This report will typically show the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway.
Check the Router: If the gateway isn't showing on the printer’s report, the default gateway is usually the IP address of your router. You can check your router’s settings:
- Log into your router’s admin page using a web browser and the router’s IP (commonly something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).
- Look for the Gateway section or the LAN settings.
- The gateway IP should match the one listed in your router settings.
Find Gateway Using Your Computer: If you can connect to your printer network from a computer (e.g., via WiFi or Ethernet), you can find the gateway:
- On Windows: Open Command Prompt and type ipconfig. Look for the Default Gateway under your active network connection.
- On macOS: Go to System Preferences > Network, select your active network, click Advanced, then go to the TCP/IP tab. The Router field shows your default gateway.
Once you have the default gateway address, you can enter it into your printer’s settings if required.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
