Hi @Nelliebly,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer's connectivity!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It appears there might be some confusion because the HP Deskjet 3755 does not have built-in Bluetooth capabilities for direct connection to a PC. This printer connects to devices primarily through USB and Wi-Fi. Here's how you can connect your HP Deskjet 3755 to your Windows PC using the available methods:

Connecting via Wi-Fi

  1. Ensure Network Availability: Make sure your Wi-Fi network is active and that your printer and PC are connected to the same network.
  2. Load Paper into Printer: Ensure paper is properly loaded in your printer.
  3. Power On the Printer: Make sure the printer is powered on.
  4. Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
    • Press the Wireless button on the printer until the light starts blinking.
    • If your printer features Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), press the WPS button on your router to connect.
  5. Download and Install Software:
    • Visit the HP Support Website to download the latest printer drivers for the HP Deskjet 3755.
    • Run the installation software and follow the prompts to complete the Wi-Fi setup.

Connecting via USB

  1. USB Cable Connection:
    • Use a USB cable to connect the printer directly to your PC.
    • The required software should automatically install, or you can manually download the driver from HP's website.

I hope this helps.

Kuroi Kenshi:

Thank you for your response. It has a lot of clarity. I understand more now than before. 🙂

I did connect it yesterday.

However: HP erased my download and erases/clears the deskbar icon. Why? This is also bothersome.

Thank you.

Hi @Nelliebly,

Thank you for your kind words. I’m glad the info helped you get your printer connected!
I understand how frustrating it is if your HP software or Deskbar icon disappears unexpectedly. Let’s get this sorted out:

Sometimes Windows updates, antivirus settings, or accidental uninstalls can remove the HP printer software or shortcut icons. It can also happen if the HP Smart app isn’t set to run at startup.

Try these steps:

Reinstall HP Smart:

Go to 123.hp.com and download HP Smart again.

Install it, log in with your HP account, and add your printer.

Create a Desktop Shortcut:
If the Deskbar icon keeps disappearing:

After installing HP Smart, right-click the HP Smart app in your Start Menu or from the Microsoft Store Apps list.

Select “Pin to Start” or “More > Pin to Taskbar” to keep it easily accessible.

Run at Startup (Optional):

Open the HP Smart app → Settings → Preferences → Enable “Run HP Smart when Windows starts.”

This makes sure your printer services load automatically when you turn on your PC.

Keep Software Updated:

Open the HP Smart app regularly and check for updates.

Also, check Windows Updates under Settings → Windows Update to ensure you have the latest drivers.

I hope this helps.
