If your HP DeskJet 4800 series printer is not printing wirelessly, there are several troubleshooting steps you can follow to identify and resolve the issue. Here’s a comprehensive guide:
Step 1: Check Network Connection
Ensure Printer is Connected to Wi-Fi:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings menu.
- Confirm that the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. If not, follow the on-screen instructions to connect it.
Ensure Device is on the Same Network:
- Ensure the device you're printing from (computer, phone, tablet) is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer.
Step 2: Restart Devices
Restart Printer:
- Turn off your printer, wait for 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
Restart Router:
- Restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging it, waiting for 30 seconds, and plugging it back in.
Restart Device:
- Restart the device you are printing from.
Step 3: Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor
Download and Install:
- Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor on your computer.
Run the Tool:
- Open the tool and click "Start".

Please find the next set of steps below.
Step 5: Update Printer Drivers and Firmware
Update Drivers:
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP DeskJet 4800 series printer.
- Install the drivers on your computer.
Update Firmware:
- Check for firmware updates for your printer and install them if available. Click here
Step 6: Check Printer Settings
Check Printer Status:
- Ensure the printer is set as the default printer on your computer.
- Make sure the printer is not set to offline mode.
Print a Wireless Network Test Report:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings menu.
- Print a wireless network test report to check the connection status and any error messages.
Step 7: Use HP Smart App
Install HP Smart App:
