Hi @JulieG76 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing issues printing from your iPhone to your HP Smart Tank Plus 555 despite both being connected to the same Wi-Fi network, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is powered on and connected to the Wi-Fi network properly. You may want to restart the printer and try reconnecting it to the Wi-Fi network.
- Check iPhone Connection: Make sure your iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that your printer is connected to. Sometimes, devices can accidentally connect to a different network.
- Restart Devices: Try restarting both your iPhone and your HP Smart Tank Plus 555. This can sometimes resolve connection issues.
- Update Firmware/Software: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer or any software updates available for your iPhone. Updating to the latest versions may resolve compatibility issues. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Reinstall Printer App: If you're using a specific app to print from your iPhone to the printer, try reinstalling the app. Sometimes, app glitches can cause connectivity problems.
- Reset Network Settings: On your iPhone, you can try resetting the network settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Keep in mind that this will erase all saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords, so you'll need to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
