@stonema, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand you're having trouble connecting your HP LaserJet MFP M28-M31 printer to your new internet network after changing providers. No worries, I’ll guide you through the steps to get your printer reconnected.
Option 1: Use HP Smart App (Recommended)
- Download or open the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.
- Reset the printer’s network settings:
Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until the Attention light blinks.
Wait for the printer to enter Wireless Setup Mode, the Wireless light will blink steadily. - In the HP Smart app:
- Tap “+” to add a new printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network.
- Once connected, the wireless light on the printer should stop blinking and remain solid.
Option 2: Use WPS (If Your Router Supports It)
- On your printer, press and hold the Wireless button until it starts blinking.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.
- Wait for the connection to complete, the wireless light will turn solid.
