@stonema, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand you're having trouble connecting your HP LaserJet MFP M28-M31 printer to your new internet network after changing providers. No worries, I’ll guide you through the steps to get your printer reconnected.

Option 1: Use HP Smart App (Recommended)

  1. Download or open the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.
  2. Reset the printer’s network settings
Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until the Attention light blinks.
Wait for the printer to enter Wireless Setup Mode, the Wireless light will blink steadily.
  3. In the HP Smart app:
    • Tap “+” to add a new printer.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network.
  4. Once connected, the wireless light on the printer should stop blinking and remain solid.

Option 2: Use WPS (If Your Router Supports It)

  1. On your printer, press and hold the Wireless button until it starts blinking.
  2. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.
  3. Wait for the connection to complete, the wireless light will turn solid.
