HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One Printer

I recently changed my password as my router went down.  I can't find an explanation point to add to my password.  Is there a way to do this?

Hi @Magill8383,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Access the Printer's Control Panel: Turn on your HP OfficeJet 4650 and ensure that it's on the home screen.

Navigate to Network Settings:

  • Tap the wireless icon on the control panel.
  • Access the wireless settings menu.

Select Wi-Fi Setup:

  • Find and select the "Wireless Setup Wizard" option. This will scan for available wireless networks.

Choose Your Network:

  • Select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.

Enter the New Wi-Fi Password:

  • When prompted to enter the password, use the on-screen keyboard.
  • Look for the special characters option (often represented by a symbol like *!? on the keyboard interface). Tap it to switch to characters like the exclamation point !.
  • Enter your Wi-Fi password with the exclamation point and any other required characters.

Save and Connect:

  • Press OK or Done after entering the password.
  • The printer will attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi network using the new password.

I hope this helps.
