@Lynn241, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Wi-Fi Network for Your HP Printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Ensure Wireless Light is On:
- Make sure the wireless light at the top left of the printer’s front panel is on. If it's not, go to Settings > Wireless > On.
No Ethernet Cable:
- Ensure an Ethernet cable is not connected because connecting an Ethernet cable turns off the printer's wireless capabilities.
Restart Components:
- Turn off your router and the printer. Then turn them back on in this order: the router first and then the printer. Also, try restarting your computer.
Run Wireless Network Test:
- To print a Wireless Network Test page, tap the wireless icon on your printer, then go to Settings > Print Wireless Network Test. This test page includes recommendations to resolve detected problems.
Manual Connection (WPS):
- If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), press the WPS button on your router, then press and hold the WPS button on the printer within two minutes.
Reconfigure Wi-Fi Setup:
- Use your computer or mobile device to access the HP Smart app (available for download from www.hp.com). In the HP Smart app, select your printer and then go to Network Setup to follow the instructions for connecting your printer to the new Wi-Fi network.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
