Hi @LuYo,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you've forgotten the admin password for your HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 printer, you may need to perform a factory reset to regain access and remove emails from the scan list. Here's how you can do it.
Please note that performing a factory reset will erase all custom settings on your printer, including Wi-Fi settings and any other configurations you may have made.
- Turn off the printer: Make sure the printer is turned off.
- Press and Hold the Resume button: On the printer's control panel, locate the "Resume" button. Press and hold it.
- Power On the Printer: While holding the "Resume" button, turn on the printer. Continue to hold the "Resume" button until the printer's lights start flashing or the screen displays a reset message.
- Release the Resume Button: Once you see the reset message or the lights start flashing, release the "Resume" button.
- Factory Reset: The printer will perform a factory reset. This process may take a few minutes. Once it's complete, the printer will restart.
- Set Up the Printer: After the factory reset is complete, you'll need to set up the printer again. This includes configuring your Wi-Fi settings and other preferences.
- Access the Admin Menu: Use the default admin password, which is often found in the printer's documentation or on a label on the printer itself.
- Remove Emails from Scan List: Once you've regained access to the admin menu, you should be able to navigate to the email settings and remove the unwanted email addresses from the scan list.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
