Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I have a new router. The printer finds the network name, but does not like the security passphrase. When I print a network report it states:

Your wireless router requires a WPA security passphrase. The passphrase configured on your HP printer does not match exactly. Run the wireless network setup to re-enter your wireless network WPA security passphrase.

I have entered it numerous times and I have go the correct Wifi password.

You may have a space at the end or beginning of the passphrase.

Suggestion:   Log into your router and set up two SSIDs.  One for the 2.4 band the other for the 5ghz band.  Use same password for both bands and use numbers to keep it simple.  Use wpa2 for all encryption.  If printer only supports wps then use the pushbotton method to connect.

Find the SSID for 2.4 on the printer display and put in the new password.

Use 5ghz band for smartphones and PCs.

I could possibly give better advice if I knew the printer model and if you were connecting with MacOS or Windows.
