Hi @Dan11221944,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Let's resolve the issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e printer not recognizing your Apple Mac Mini when printing from Google apps:
1. Check Printer Connection:
USB Connection: Unplug and reconnect the USB cable. Try a different USB port on your Mac Mini.
Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure both devices are on the same network. Go to Settings > Network Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard on your printer to reconnect.
Ethernet Connection: Ensure the printer is connected to the router via Ethernet cable.
2. Restart Devices:
Restart your Mac Mini.
Restart the printer (turn it off, unplug for 30 seconds, and turn it back on).
Restart the router if using Wi-Fi.
3. Add the Printer Manually on Mac:
Go to Apple Menu > System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
If the printer isn't listed, click + (Add Printer), select your printer, and click Add.
4. Install HP Smart App:
Download and install the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store.
Follow the setup instructions to connect your printer.
5. Reset Printing System (If Needed):
Go to Apple Menu > System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Control + Click) in the printer list, select Reset Printing System, and confirm.
Restart your Mac and add the printer again.
6. Check Google App Permissions:
In Google Chrome, go to chrome://settings/permissions.
Ensure local printers are allowed.
7. Update macOS and Printer Drivers:
Go to Apple Menu > System Settings > General > Software Update and update macOS.
Download and install the latest HP printer driver from HP’s official website.
Try these steps and let me know if you need further assistance! 😊
