Hi @Maudew0903,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your HP ENVY 5055 says “IP address not connected”, especially when you just want to print something quickly. Let’s walk through this gently and get your printer reconnected.
Steps to Reconnect Your HP ENVY 5055 to Wi-Fi
1. Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode
This puts your printer back into a discoverable state.
- On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button (the one with the antenna icon) and the Cancel button together for 5 seconds
- The Wireless light will start blinking. This means it’s ready to connect
2. Use the HP App
- Download or open the HP App HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site
- Make sure your device is connected to your home Wi-Fi
- Open the app and tap “Add Printer”
- Select your printer from the list (it may show as HP-Setup)
- Follow the steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi
3. Confirm Connection
- Once connected, the Wireless light will stop blinking and stay solid
- You can print a Network Configuration Page from the printer settings to confirm the IP address

I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
