Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- What's the Wi-Fi light status on the Printer(Blinking or Steady)?
-
Are you trying to print from an Android or Apple phone?
-
What is the operating system?
Keep me posted for further assistance.

I have the same issue. I just got this printer brand new and it is supposed to have a quick and easy setup. However, it wont even connect to the wireless network. It doesn't give me the opportunity to type in the wifi password. The printer says that my wireless network is "not encrypted" but thats not true. The light just keeps flashing until it fails to connect.

Thank you for posting back.
I believe you are trying to connect to the wi-fi direct network of the printer and it's asking for the wi-fi direct password.
- Try the default password as 12345678.
- If it doesn't work then provide the below details:
- What's the Wi-Fi light status on the Printer(Blinking or Steady)?
- Are you trying to print from an Android or Apple phone?
- Could you share the screen where it's asking for the password?
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
