Hi @Pasofino2

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're trying to connect your HP DeskJet 3632 printer to a new Wi-Fi network, but the HP Smart App is not recognizing or finding the printer. Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

1. Ensure Your Printer is Ready for Wi-Fi Setup

First, make sure the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode so it can connect to the new network.

To enter Wi-Fi setup mode:

  1. Power on the printer (if not already on).
  2. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking. This indicates the printer is ready to connect to a new network.
  3. If your printer has a Wi-Fi Direct button, it might flash too. If you have this button, press it to enable wireless setup.

2. Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi Using HP Smart App

Now, you can attempt to connect the printer to the new Wi-Fi network via the HP Smart App on your smartphone or computer.

Download the HP Smart App:

  • On iPhone/iPad: Go to the App Store and search for HP Smart.
  • On Android: Go to the Google Play Store and search for HP Smart.
  • On Windows or Mac: You can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store or HP's website.

Open the HP Smart App and follow these steps:

  • If the app doesn’t automatically detect your printer, click on the "+" button (Add Printer).
  • Choose Set Up a New Printer.
  • Select your DeskJet 3632 model from the list.
  • When prompted, choose the new Wi-Fi network (make sure you're entering the correct Wi-Fi password).
  • Wait for the app to finish setting up the printer on your Wi-Fi network.

3. Manually Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)

If the HP Smart app still doesn't recognize your printer, try connecting it manually using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), if your router supports this feature.

  1. Press and hold the WPS button on your router for 3-5 seconds. The WPS light will start blinking.
  2. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on your printer for about 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking. This will trigger the printer to try to connect to the router via WPS.
  3. Wait a few minutes for the printer and router to establish a connection. When the Wi-Fi light on your printer turns solid, the connection is complete.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

3. Manually Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
