I recently changed to a Linksys AX 6200 router and now my HP Officejet 5255 will not connect with it. I have restored the network settings numerous times and the printer shows that it is on my wireless network but when I try to print it just puts the job in queue. It shows ready in Devices and Printers but it will not print.

Hi @Brucetav,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you've already done some troubleshooting steps by restoring the network settings on your HP OfficeJet 5255 printer. Since the printer shows as ready in Devices and Printers but doesn't print when you send a job, here are a few more steps you can try:
- Restart Devices: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off both your printer and your Linksys AX 6200 router. Wait for about 30 seconds, then turn on the router first and let it stabilize. After that, turn on your printer and allow it to reconnect to the wireless network.
- Check Network Settings on Printer: Ensure that the printer is connected to the correct wireless network (your Linksys AX 6200 network). You can typically check or change this through the printer's control panel menu. Verify the network name (SSID) and password are correctly entered.
- Update Printer Firmware: Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP OfficeJet 5255 printer. Updated firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues with new routers. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Reinstall Printer Driver: Sometimes the printer driver on your computer might need to be reinstalled to properly communicate with the new router. You can uninstall the printer driver from your computer's Device Manager or Programs and Features, then reinstall the latest driver from the HP website.
- Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Ensure that your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking the printer's communication. Temporarily disable these software programs (if safe to do so) and try printing again to see if it resolves the issue.
- Reset Printer's Wireless Settings: If none of the above steps work, try resetting the printer's wireless settings completely and then set it up again from scratch. This usually involves accessing the printer's network settings menu and choosing to reset network settings or reconfigure wireless setup.
