Hi @Debost,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8610 no longer appearing as a selectable printer on your Android phone, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure the printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android phone.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both your HP Officejet Pro 8610 and your Android phone. This can often resolve connectivity issues.

Reinstall the HP Smart App:

  • On your Android phone, uninstall the HP Smart app and then reinstall it from the Google Play Store. Open the app and follow the setup instructions to reconnect to your printer.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • Ensure the printer is still connected to your Wi-Fi network. You might need to reconnect it by following the printer’s wireless setup instructions.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Check for any firmware updates for your HP Officejet Pro 8610. You can usually find these updates on the HP support website or through the HP Smart app.

Check Printer Settings:

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to the network settings and make sure the printer is connected to the correct network. Also, ensure the "Wi-Fi Direct" option (if available) is enabled, which allows direct connections.

Forget and Re-add Printer:

  • In the HP Smart app, remove the printer from the list of printers. Then, add it back by following the setup process in the app.

Ensure Printer is in Range:

  • Make sure your printer is within range of your router and not too far from your Android phone.

Check Android Permissions:

  • Ensure the HP Smart app has the necessary permissions enabled on your Android phone (e.g., network access).
