- I attempted to print a document. I tried more than once. I turned the printer on and off
- No other steps
- no error messages printer is showing as offline on HP Smart
- I have changed broadband provider and Deskjet 3762 is not finding the new network.
- Internet connection is wireless.
- I am using a desktop PC OS Windows 11 to access HP Smart

General help for new modem (for your reference)
1 - Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer
2 - Wi-Fi connection is lost after router or network settings change
3 - HP Smart help with printer connection.

if no smartphone the wps pushbutton method is described on page 56 of the users manual. i think you have only 2 minutes press the WPS button on the modem once you select WPS setup in the printer.
Wifi direct setup video. This does not require that you have a modem. This video also works for 3720, 3721, 3722, 3730, 3732, 3733, 3735, 3750, 3752, 3755, 3758, 3760, 3762, 3764, 3775, 3776, 3778, 3785, 3786, 3787, 3788, 3789, 3790

Thank you for the detailed response. The 3762 does not have a touch screen. I have tried holding cancel and WiFi buttons as you suggest. The WiFi blue light blinks. Does not become stray. HP smart on my pc cannot find the printer and designated it as offline. Is there anything else I can try?

=====Direct Wi-Fi mode====
Your desktop PC has to have WiFi enabled. The printer operates in both the 2.4 and 5ghz bands
HP Smart on your desktop we'll try to find the SSID or Wi-fi name of the printer.
Your 3762 has to be in Wi-fi Direct mode.
Wifi direct setup video. This does not require that you have a modem. This video also works for 3720, 3721, 3722, 3730, 3732, 3733, 3735, 3750, 3752, 3755, 3758, 3760, 3762, 3764, 3775, 3776, 3778, 3785, 3786, 3787, 3788, 3789, 3790
Once in wifi direct mode then get a network printout report to find the DIRECT SSID or name
for example

Connecting to a router / modem. Since the printer doesn't come with a wizard network app, you will need to use either a smartphone with HP Smart on it or just use the WPS push button method. Let me know if you want to run connect the printer to a router instead of using Wi-fi direct.

I DID IT!
I may have made an error in following the steps given. I think I tried to use FIND PRINTER instead of ADD PRINTER. When I adjusted that the pc did everything else. The printer is now working with my desktop PC and my mobile phone.
