Photosmart HP 6520. I have done all that I could find online about rebooting, removing and reinstalling, installing latest drivers etc to no avail. It simply wont print. I also cleaned the heads with alcohol, bought new cartridges.

Hi @AndreCaroline

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining that—If you've already tried rebooting the printer, removing and reinstalling drivers, installing the latest drivers, cleaning the printhead with alcohol, and replacing the cartridges but the HP Photosmart 6520 still won't print, here are some additional steps you can take:

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the cartridge access door and inspect the paper path for any paper jams.
  • Ensure that the paper trays are loaded correctly.

Check and Align the Printhead:

  • Align the printhead from the printer display:
    • Go to the Home screen, touch the Settings icon, then touch Tools.
    • Scroll to and touch "Align Printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • You can also do this from the printer software on your computer.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off your HP printer and disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power source.
  • Wait for about a minute, then reconnect the power cord and power on the printer.

Print a Test Page:

  • From the Home screen, touch the Setup button, scroll to "Reports," and then select "Printer Status Report" to print a test page.
  • If the test page prints correctly, the issue might be with your print settings or the document you are trying to print.

Check the Network Connection:

  • Make sure the printer is properly connected to your network.
  • You can run the Wireless Network Test Report from the printer's wireless setup menu to check connectivity.

If none of these steps work, the issue may be a hardware failure in the printhead assembly, which unfortunately isn’t user-replaceable on this model. Let me know what happens after the cleaning and reset—we’ll keep pushing until it prints again! 🖨
