I have tried by resetting the network by pressing the cancel button and the wireless button for three seconds but it still doesnt remove the EWS password from my printer. Please suggest me how to remove this password or factory reset the printer.

Hi @xtan24,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you have forgotten the password for the EWS (Embedded Web Server) of your HP Ink Tank Wireless 419 printer, you can try resetting the password to regain access. Here's how.

  1. Make sure your printer is turned on and connected to your network.
  2. On your computer, open a web browser (such as Chrome or Firefox) and type in the IP address of your printer in the address bar. You can find the IP address of your printer by printing a Network Configuration Page from the printer's control panel.
  3. Press Enter to access the printer's EWS page.
  4. Click on the "Security" tab and then click on "Administrator Settings".
  5. Enter the current password (if you remember it) and then enter the new password you want to use twice. Make sure your password meets the requirements listed on the page.
  6. Click on "Apply" to save the changes.

If you do not remember your current password, you can try resetting the password to its default value. Here's how.

  1. Make sure your printer is turned on and connected to your network.
  2. On your computer, open a web browser and type in the IP address of your printer in the address bar.
  3. Press Enter to access the printer's EWS page.
  4. Click on the "Security" tab and then click on "Administrator Settings".
  5. Scroll down to the "Reset Security Settings" section and click on "Restore Defaults".
  6. Click on "Apply" to save the changes.

This should reset the password to its default value. The default password for the HP Ink Tank Wireless 419 printer is "admin". However, it is highly recommended that you change the password to a unique and secure password after resetting it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
