Hi @OrangeDress28,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 2721e All-in-One Printer isn't connecting to your new router and is showing flashing lights, here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the issue.
Restart Your Devices
- Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
- Router: Restart your router to refresh the network connections.
Check Printer and Network Settings
- Wi-Fi Connection: Make sure your printer is within range of your new router.
- Network Name: Ensure that the printer is trying to connect to the correct Wi-Fi network (SSID).
Reconfigure Wireless Settings
- HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Select the option to add a new printer.
- Follow the prompts to connect your printer to the new Wi-Fi network.
- Printer Control Panel:
- On the printer, navigate to the Wi-Fi setup or wireless settings option.
- Select your new network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
Reset Network Settings on the Printer
- Factory Reset:
- On the printer, go to the settings menu.
- Look for a "Network Setup" or "Wireless Settings" option.
- Find and select "Restore Network Settings" or a similar option to reset the network settings to default.
Update Printer Firmware
- HP Support Website:
- Visit the HP support website and search for your printer model.
- Download and install any available firmware updates that might address network connectivity issues.
Check for Interference
- Signal Interference: Ensure there are no physical obstructions or electronic devices that might interfere with the Wi-Fi signal between your router and printer.
Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
- WPS Button:
- If your router supports WPS, press the WPS button on your router.
- On your printer, navigate to the wireless setup menu and select the WPS option to connect.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
