Hi @Djembeman76,.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To switch your HP LaserJet MFP M140we Printer to a different Wi-Fi network, follow these steps using your macOS 11.0 Big Sur:

Prepare the Printer for Setup

  • Ensure your macOS is up to date.
  • Place the printer near the new Wi-Fi router.
  • Turn on Wi-Fi on your macOS and ensure it is connected to the network you want the printer to connect to.
  • Enable Bluetooth on your macOS to allow the HP Smart app to detect the printer during setup.

Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode on Your Printer

  • On your printer, open the Wireless menu or Setup menu, select Network Setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings. This action may vary based on the printer model.
  • If your printer has been previously connected, it may be necessary to restore Wi-Fi setup mode by pressing and holding the Wireless button for five seconds.

Use the HP Smart App to Connect to the New Network

  • Open the HP Smart app on your macOS. If you haven't installed it, you can download the app from the Mac App Store: HP Smart for Desktop.
  • Launch the app and click Set Up a New Printer or Add Printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to the new Wi-Fi network.
