Hi @JimWilliams1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the yellow lights are blinking on your HP Tango X printer and you're unable to print, it generally indicates there might be an issue with the printer that needs attention. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams or obstructions inside the printer. If you find any, carefully remove them.
  • Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure that your ink cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink. If the ink levels are low, you may need to replace the cartridges.
  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve minor issues.
  • Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can usually update the firmware through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
  • Check Wireless Connection: If your printer is connected wirelessly, make sure it's connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the network is functioning properly.
  • Reinstall Printer Drivers: If you're printing from a computer, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the printer drivers. Ensure you have the latest drivers downloaded from the HP website.
  • Clear Print Queue: If you have any pending print jobs in the print queue, try clearing them and then sending a new print job.
  • Perform a Printer Self-Test: Most HP printers have a self-test or diagnostic page printing option. Consult your printer's manual on how to do this. If the self-test page prints successfully, it suggests the issue may be with your computer or software settings.
  • Reset the Printer: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your HP Tango X. Be aware that this will erase all custom settings, so only do it if necessary. Instructions for resetting your specific model should be available in the user manual.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
