@mhcarpenter49, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Wi-Fi Connection Issues on HP Printers (HP ENVY Inspire 7200 Series)!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you're having trouble connecting your HP ENVY Inspire 7200 series printer to your new quantum wireless 5GHz Wi-Fi network, follow these steps to ensure a proper connection.
Check Network Compatibility
Firstly, it is important to confirm whether your HP ENVY Inspire 7200 series printer supports 5GHz Wi-Fi networks. Not all HP printers support 5GHz networks, as many are compatible only with 2.4GHz networks. You can usually find this information in your printer's manual or on the HP support website.
Reconnect the Printer to the Network:
Reset the Wireless Settings:
- Printers with a touchscreen control panel: Open the Setup, Network, or Wireless Settings menu, select Wireless Setup Wizard, and follow the on-screen instructions to select your wireless network and enter the password.
- Printers without a touchscreen control panel:
- Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button simultaneously until the Power light blinks.
- Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button on your router until the connection process begins. The Wireless light on the printer stops blinking when the connection completes.
Enable Wi-Fi Setup Mode:
- When turning on your printer for the first time, it enters Wi-Fi setup mode so it can be discovered during setup.
- Restore Wi-Fi setup mode using the printer control panel. For specific instructions, you can refer to Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode on your HP Printer.
Connect using HP Smart App:
- Make sure your mobile device or computer has Bluetooth enabled for an easier setup experience through the HP Smart app.
- Download and open the HP Smart app for your device, follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
