Hi @Pg3996,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand that you are facing connectivity issues. I’d like to help!
Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.
The HP ENVY 6458e All-In-One Printer generally connects to one Wi-Fi network at a time. It doesn't have the inherent capability to simultaneously connect to two different Wi-Fi networks. However, you might achieve a similar result using a workaround if your intention is to have it accessible from two different networks:
Wi-Fi Direct: The printer supports Wi-Fi Direct, which allows a direct connection between the printer and a device (like a phone or computer) without using a traditional Wi-Fi network. You could connect one device to the printer using Wi-Fi Direct while the printer remains connected to your primary Wi-Fi network. This could give the impression of the printer being connected to two networks simultaneously.
Wireless Router Configuration: Some advanced routers support creating a guest network. You could connect the printer to your primary network and then connect the second network (like a guest network) on the router, allowing devices on both networks to access the printer.
Network Switches or Bridges: Utilizing network switches or bridges might be another way to connect the printer to multiple networks. This might involve additional networking equipment and configuration to manage the connections.
Remember, these methods might add complexity and might not be as straightforward as having the printer directly connected to two networks simultaneously. The printer's design may limit its direct connectivity to a single Wi-Fi network at a time.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
