HI @LMM7,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 is showing as "offline" after a factory reset and your network can’t see the printer, it’s likely due to a network connectivity issue. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get the printer back online:
1. Check Basic Connections
- Power Cycle: Ensure the printer is turned on. If it’s on but still showing offline, try power cycling it. Turn it off, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Network Connection: Make sure your Wi-Fi network is working and other devices are connected to it properly.
2. Reconnect to Wi-Fi
Access Printer’s Control Panel:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings or Setup (the gear icon).
Navigate to Network Settings:
- Select Network Setup or Wireless Settings.
Select Wi-Fi Setup:
- Choose Wireless Setup Wizard or Wi-Fi Setup to start the process of connecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
Choose Your Network:
- The printer will search for available networks. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password if prompted.
Confirm Connection:
- After entering the password, the printer should connect to the network. Wait for it to confirm the connection.
3. Update Printer Firmware
- Check for Updates: Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve connectivity issues. Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer on the HP website or through the printer’s settings menu.
4. Reinstall Printer Software
Download Latest Software:
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest driver and software for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010.
Run the Installation:
- Install the software on your computer. During the installation process, choose the option to connect via Wi-Fi.
Follow the Instructions:
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. The software should detect your printer if it's properly connected to the network.
5. Check Printer Status on Computer
Windows:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners. Find your printer in the list and make sure it’s set as the default printer. If it’s not listed, try adding it again.
Mac:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. If your printer isn’t listed, click the + button to add it.
6. Verify Network Settings
Router Check:
- Ensure your router is working correctly and that it hasn’t recently changed network settings. Restart the router if necessary.
Network Conflict:
- Ensure there are no IP address conflicts on your network. Sometimes, assigning a static IP address to the printer can resolve connectivity issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
