Hi @Rmiaken,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

If you've forgotten the password for your HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer and are unable to connect to it, here are a few steps you can take to reset the printer and regain access:

1. Reset Network Settings on the Printer

To clear the network settings, which will remove the Wi-Fi password, perform a network reset on the printer:

  • Steps to Reset Network Settings:
    1. Turn on the printer if it’s not already on.
    2. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (or Wireless button) and the Cancel button at the same time for about 5 seconds, until the Power light flashes.
    3. This will reset the network settings on your printer, clearing the Wi-Fi credentials.

2. Reconnect to the Printer via HP Smart App

Now that the printer's network settings have been reset, you can reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network using the HP Smart app:

  • Steps to Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
    1. Download the HP Smart app on your computer or smartphone (if you don’t already have it).
    2. Open the HP Smart app and click on Set Up a New Printer.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions. The app will detect your printer and guide you through connecting it to your Wi-Fi network.
    4. Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted to reconnect the printer to your network.

3. Re-add the Printer to Your Computer/Device

If you're using a computer and the printer was previously added, you'll need to remove and re-add the printer to refresh the connection.

On Windows:

  1. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  2. Find your printer, select it, and click Remove.
  3. Click Add a Printer and follow the steps to re-add the HP ENVY 6055e.

On macOS:

  1. Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  2. Select the printer and click the minus (-) button to remove it.
  3. Click the plus (+) button and re-add the printer.

4. Reset to Factory Defaults (if Needed)

If resetting the network settings doesn’t resolve the issue, you can perform a full factory reset on the printer to restore it to its original settings:

  • Steps to Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults:
    1. Turn on the printer.
    2. On the printer control panel, press the Wi-Fi button and the Back button together for about 5 seconds until the printer restarts.
    3. After the reset, the printer will be restored to factory settings, and you can start the setup process again through the HP Smart app.

5. Find Default Admin Password

If your printer is requesting an administrator password, the default admin password can sometimes be found on a label on the printer or in the manual that came with it. If the password has been changed and forgotten, a full factory reset may be required (as mentioned above).

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
