Hi @Thaniksha,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your printer is experiencing connectivity issues with your Wi-Fi network. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem:

1. Restart Devices

  • Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on.
  • Router: Restart your Wi-Fi router by turning it off, waiting for a minute, and then turning it back on.
  • Phone/Computer: Restart the device you're trying to connect to the printer.

2. Check Printer's Wi-Fi Connection

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • If the printer has a display screen, navigate to the Wi-Fi settings and check the connection status.
  • If there's an option to forget the Wi-Fi network, do so and then reconnect using the correct credentials.

3. Update Firmware and Drivers

  • Make sure the printer firmware is up to date. Check the HP website for any available updates.
  • Update the printer drivers on your computer.

4. Reset Network Settings on Printer

  • Look for an option in the printer settings to reset the network settings. This will clear the current Wi-Fi settings and allow you to set up the connection again from scratch.

5. Reconnect to Wi-Fi

  • On your printer, go to the Wi-Fi setup and connect to your network. Ensure you enter the correct Wi-Fi password.
  • If prompted for a PIN, make sure you are entering the correct PIN provided by your router or the WPS PIN if you're using WPS setup.

6. Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength

  • Ensure the printer is within a good range of the Wi-Fi router. Poor signal strength can cause connectivity issues.
  • Avoid obstructions and interference from other electronic devices.

7. Mobile Device Connection

  • Ensure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
  • If using a direct connection (Wi-Fi Direct), make sure Wi-Fi Direct is enabled on the printer and your phone is connecting to the correct network.

8. Printer IP Address

  • Check if the printer has a valid IP address. You can usually find this in the printer's network settings menu.
  • If it doesn't have a valid IP address, try assigning a static IP address within the range of your network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
