Hi @LDOO-5,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your printer keeps showing an “Incorrect Wi-Fi password” message when you try to connect it to your network. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Confirm the Wi-Fi password on another device

Use a phone or computer to connect to the same Wi-Fi network with that password.

This confirms the password is correct and hasn’t recently changed.

Check for typing errors

Wi-Fi passwords are case-sensitive.

Make sure there are no extra spaces and that letters, numbers, and symbols are entered exactly.

Reset the printer’s network settings

On the printer, restore Network / Wireless defaults.

This clears any stored (incorrect) passwords from previous attempts.

Put the printer into Wi-Fi setup mode

After the reset, the blue wireless light should blink.

If it doesn’t, restart the printer to force setup mode.

Reconnect using HP Smart

Open HP Smart on your phone or computer.

Choose Add Printer / Set Up a New Printer and follow the steps.

Ensure the device running HP Smart is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to use.

Check Wi-Fi band compatibility

Many HP printers support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only.

If your router uses a combined 2.4 / 5 GHz network, confirm that 2.4 GHz is enabled.

Disable VPNs or private relay temporarily

VPNs or privacy features can interfere with printer setup.

Turn them off during setup, then reconnect once the printer is online.

Restart the router

Power off the router for 30 seconds and turn it back on.

Wait until the network is fully stable before retrying setup.

I hope this helps.
