Has anyone found that once the Instant ink account is set up their printer randomly prints symbols or http/ addresses once a day, using up pages and of course ink.

I have been in contact with HP Support but they keep going through the same process of workarounds and waste an hour of my time each call. 

I know have to leave the paper tray empty to prevent this happening. There is nothing n the que as I always check before filling the tray before I need to print.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Let's remove and enable web-services again: From the printer control panel display, touch (ePrint), and then touch (Web Services Settings). 2. Touch Remove Web Services.

 

Enable web services:

 

1. From the printer control panel display, touch Setup. 2. Touch Web Services Setup. 3. Touch Accept to accept the Web Services terms of use and enable Web Services.

I have tried this "solution" several times with the help team & if it works this time I will be amazed. I have tried to scan & copy a document to show what is happening but obviously the system does not allow for this? I have copied an example of what happens each day.

I don't know if you can read the example but I assume it hasn't got through to you?

Further to your suggestion of re-enabling the Web Services this did not work.

This was tried by some of your colleagues and did not work with them either.

I would also add that the printer tried to print again over the last couple of days & by removing the paper (from the tray) this is prevented.

There is nothing in the que for printing so the issue is definitely with HP & their Instant Ink setup.

 

My only solution is again to contact Customer Service & spend more of my time sorting this out. I cannot believe that anyone else is not having this problem!

Then we'll have to reset the Printer is that ok?

i have done this several times with your support teams I'm sure, unless you have a different system, it will not make any difference?

We've removed the account and set up again, removed the power lead and replaced. Is this what you were thinking of going through?
