What is the Wi-Fi PIN?

The Wi-Fi PIN is typically an 8-digit number used during Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). This PIN helps securely connect your printer to your wireless network.

Where to Find the PIN

Here are a few ways to locate it:

Option 1: Check the Printer Label

  • Look for a sticker on the back or bottom of your printer.
  • It may be labeled as WPS PIN, Wi-Fi Direct PIN, or Network Security Key.

Option 2: Print a Network Configuration Page

  1. On the printer control panel, go to Settings or Wireless menu.
  2. Select Print Reports > Network Configuration Page.
  3. Look for the WPS PIN on the printed page.

Option 3: Display PIN on Printer Screen

If your printer has a display:

  1. Go to Wireless Settings.
  2. Select Wi-Fi Protected Setup > PIN.
  3. The printer will generate and display an 8-digit PIN.

Note: The PIN is usually valid for only a few minutes. Enter it quickly on your router or computer when prompted.
