HP ENVY 6032e All-in-One Printer

So I don’t know why, but my printer started to say that it was not accessible but when I checked on the app, it said that it was ready to print so I figured it was probably wireless issue and I checked on the website of HP to see how to reset the wifi and now the purple light won’t go off

Hi @Perlou,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

It’s so frustrating when a printer that’s supposed to be ready to go suddenly becomes unresponsive, especially after you’ve tried resetting it.

Here are a few questions that might help us troubleshoot:

  1. Did you notice any recent updates or changes to your Wi-Fi network that could be affecting the connection?
  2. When the purple light is on, does the printer respond to any commands from the HP Smart app?
  3. Have you recently moved the printer closer to or farther from the router?

Let's try these steps.

Restart Both Printer and Router:

  • Power off your printer and unplug it. Restart your router and wait until it fully reconnects, then plug the printer back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear up connection issues.

Reinitiate Wi-Fi Setup Mode:

  • With the printer on, hold down the Wi-Fi button (or Wi-Fi + Cancel buttons, depending on your model) until the light starts blinking. This will put the printer back into Wi-Fi setup mode so you can reconnect it to your network.

Use HP Smart App for Reconnection:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your mobile or computer. Go to “Add Printer” or “Set Up a New Printer” and follow the on-screen steps to reconnect the printer. Ensure your device is on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • In the HP Smart app, navigate to your printer’s settings and look for any firmware updates. If available, update the firmware, as it may resolve connectivity or light indicator issues.

Factory Reset the Printer:

  • If all else fails, perform a factory reset. With the printer on, press and hold the Cancel and Wireless buttons until the power light blinks. This will restore factory settings, allowing you to set up the printer from scratch.

If the purple light remains or connectivity is still an issue, there may be a deeper hardware problem.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
