Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

HP Smart Tank 7602r All-in-One Printer

I have a Mac Mini 2023 and I set up my new Smart Tank 7602r and everything seemed fine.

Whenever I try to print I get the message that the setup is incomplete. So I click on Printer Setup is incomplete and get the message that asks you to return to the home screen and + Add Printer and followed guided steps.

Since that didn’t work I clicked on the hp.com/support/printer setup.

When I type next I get:
Select your operating system
We were unable to detect your operating system. Manually select an OS here
If your operating system is not listed then HP may not provide setup support for your product with that operating system.

When I select the I don’t see my operating system I pick Mac OS from the list .

I removed the Old HP App and Reinstall the New HP App

After reselecting my printer and going through the steps to set it up everything looks fine. The printer is connected to the same internet as the computer.

I try to print and get the setup is incomplete message. Very Frustrating.

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

Check Printer Connection

Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Mac Mini.

Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer to check its connection.

 

Update Printer Firmware

Visit HP’s website and make sure your printer has the latest firmware. Download and install it if needed.

 

Install HP App

Uninstall the HP Smart App:

Go to Applications > HP Smart > Move to Trash.

Search for leftover HP files in Library and delete them.

Reinstall the HP App from HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site and set up your printer again.

 

Check Printer in System Preferences

Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.

If your printer isn’t listed, click the + button to add it.

 

Clear Print Queue

Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.

Select the printer, click Open Print Queue, and cancel any stuck print jobs.

 

Reset Printer’s Network Settings

On the printer, go to Settings > Network > Restore Network Settings.

Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi and try setting it up again.

 

Test on Another Mac (if possible)

If you can, try setting up the printer on another Mac to see if it’s a Mac-specific issue.
