Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

I used to use this printer for my Macbook Pro but now, after 2 years, it doesn't seem to work. I delayed in re-using it because I moved and I couldn't use it where I was. Now I was able to synchronize my printer with the new WiFi and the laptop. But, every time I try to print, it doesn't work. I keep getting a "Filter Failed" error on my printing quiery. I've tried restarting my printer, re-registering it on my laptop via Systems--> Printers and Scanners, and the same problem keeps occurring. 

 

Please help me, I've tried all options.

Hi,

Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.

Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:

I tried this approach multiple times, I keep getting the same answer "Filter failed." So my problem is exactly the same, no resolution. I need to actually speak to a representative ASAP or I don't have a printer!
