@Lynn1120, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Internet Connection Issues on HP Pavilion All-in-One - 23-q112!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP Pavilion All-in-One computer is frequently losing internet connection, here are some steps you can follow to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:
Restart your Network Devices:
- Restart your modem and router. Unplug both devices, wait for about 30 seconds, then plug them back in. Wait until all the lights on the modem and router are back on before checking the connection on your computer.
Update Network Drivers:
- Ensure that your network drivers are up-to-date. You can check and update your drivers from the Device Manager.
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Network adapters category.
- Right-click your wireless network adapter and select Update driver.
- Choose to Search automatically for updated driver software. Let Windows find and install the latest drivers.
Run Windows Network Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Internet Connections.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix connectivity issues.
Check Power Management Settings:
- Sometimes, power management settings may affect your network adapter’s performance.
- In Device Manager, right-click your wireless network adapter and select Properties.
- Go to the Power Management tab.
- Uncheck the box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
- Click OK and restart your computer.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Make sure your operating system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Check for updates and install them if any are available.
Reconfigure Wireless Network Settings:
- Sometimes you’ll need to reboot your wireless network settings.
- Open Command Prompt as administrator. Type the following commands one by one:
- netsh winsock reset
- netsh int ip reset
- ipconfig /release
- ipconfig /renew
- ipconfig /flushdns
- Restart your computer after executing the commands.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
