I can see on my laptop the wifi network associated with my HP 2700m deskjet, (SSID direct-hp-2700) but I am not able to connect to that wifi so I can issue printouts. I am not sure why.

Hi @dhaval_shah_73 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing difficulty connecting your MacBook running macOS Monterey to your HP DeskJet 2700 series printer's Wi-Fi network (SSID: direct-hp-2700),
Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
Ensure Proper Setup:
- Make sure your HP DeskJet 2700 printer is turned on and in a ready state.
- Ensure that the wireless connection feature is enabled on your printer.
Signal Strength:
- Ensure that your printer is within range of your MacBook and no obstructions are blocking the Wi-Fi signal.
- Move your MacBook closer to the printer to ensure a strong Wi-Fi signal.
Restart Devices:
- Try restarting both your MacBook and the HP DeskJet 2700 printer. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
Forget Network:
- Go to System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi on your MacBook.
- Select the network associated with your HP printer (direct-hp-2700) and click the "-" button to forget the network.
- Reconnect to the printer's Wi-Fi network and enter the password if prompted.
Printer Configuration:
- Access the printer's control panel and navigate to the Wi-Fi Direct settings.
- Check if Wi-Fi Direct is enabled and if there are any specific settings you need to configure.
- You might need to print a network configuration page from the printer to verify the Wi-Fi Direct settings and network information.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Check for any available firmware updates for your HP DeskJet 2700 printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
Reset Printer Network Settings:
- Resetting the printer's network settings to default and reconfiguring the Wi-Fi connection might help.
- Refer to your printer's user manual or HP's support website for instructions on resetting the network settings.
Update macOS:
- Ensure that your MacBook is running the latest version of macOS Monterey. Sometimes, software updates include fixes for connectivity issues. Software and Drivers for HP DeskJet 2700 All-in-One Printer series
Check for Interference:
- Other electronic devices or neighboring Wi-Fi networks could cause interference. Try moving your printer and MacBook away from potential sources of interference.
