HP Recommended
EliteBook 8760w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Setup:
2 laptop PC:s - Toshiba Satellite L500-C-16Z and HP EliteBook 8760w, both Windows 10, connected by wifi to my LAN attached printer HP LaserJet 1022n .
Cases:
A
Cable modem and router (with wifi, and more) SagemCom F@ST 3890V3 CH, CS 50001.
- At start:
Printer configured to port 9100, format RAW after installation procedure Add Printer, network attached printer and correct model driver, replace existing driver.
- Printer output is OK (but Dataformat shows IMF) at installation, but after "Finish":
- Printing testpage ,  OS protests: Can't connect to printer!
- Printer sends printout but never stops printing, Print Queue is not emptied.
- I have to correct it manually by deleting files in C:\Windows\spool\PRINTERS and restarting HP LaserJet 1022n (to empty it's cache)
B
Moved HP EliteBook PC to wired connection, NO setting altered!
- Printout of testpage was OK via LAN, but showed IMF format - despite of RAW in settings.
- No attempt to feed new paper, even if tray was empty.

C
Changed router to D-Link Archer AC 1900
Router in A changed to Bridged, wifi off.
Internet connection OK.
- After reinstalling printer with NEW driver, same procedure.
- Same result (wifi) as in A = "endless printout".
Removing mark from Bidirectional . . did not help.
Conclusion:
PC:s are OK. Routers are OK.

LAN printing is OK.
Wifi printing NOT OK!
Q:
- Printer or printer configuration??
- Printer firmware?
Any other idea? What have I missed?

Finally I found a working driver!

1. Uninstall all existing drivers following your instruction:
root level uninstallation and reinstallation of the printer drivers
- link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Setup-Software-Drivers/Windows-10-and-HP-PSC-2175/td-p/6718750

2. Reboot

3. Connect printer (HP LaserJet 1022n in my case) by USB cable to computer, directly.
- Use Windows built-in function to find working driver (in my case HP LaserJet 1022n ClassDriver)

4. Printing testpage shows: RAW (not IMF) ver, 10.0.17119.1 (not 2012.918.1.57980)!

5. Disconnect USB cable.
- Use Windows built-in function to install TCP/IP printer, NOTE – KEEP existing driver!

6. Beware: you now have 2 ”printing devices” with similar names.
- Delete the USB printing device (if you don’t want it) but NOT the driver!

Reguards.

@StiPet

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

Use this link for details on using the HP Print and Scan doctor: https://hp.care/2JyaC93

If the issue persists, let's do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.)  Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Let's create a TCP IP port

1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer's IPv4 address (you can also tap on the wireless icon on the front panel of your Printer to get the IP address)

2. On your PC, go to Control Panel, from Devices and Printers, right-click the printer and left-click Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.

3. Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.

4. Type in the proper IP address for the printer.

This video resource will show you how to do it:

Create & Use TCP IP port
