I have been trying to resolve my printer issues for a week since it just stopped working and has an amber light. I have unplugged, restarted, re installed, deleted, and otherwise done all the things. It states that it is "offline" but then finds the printer when I'm trying to reinstall it. I am at my wits end.

Hi @Danijack,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Dealing with printer issues can indeed be frustrating, especially when you've tried several troubleshooting steps already. Let's try a few more potential solutions.
- Check Connections: Ensure that all cables connecting your printer to the computer or network are securely plugged in. Sometimes a loose connection can cause the printer to go offline.
- Restart Devices: Turn off both your printer and computer, wait for a couple of minutes, and then turn them back on. Sometimes a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.
- Update Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your HP LaserJet M209DWE. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website and install them on your computer.
- Check Printer Status: On your computer, go to Control Panel or System Preferences (depending on your operating system), find the Devices and Printers section, and check if your printer is listed there. If it's listed as offline, right-click (or Control-click) on the printer icon and select "Use Printer Online."
- Reset Printer: Try resetting your printer to its factory settings. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
- Check Network Connection: If your printer is connected to a network, ensure that it's properly connected to the same network as your computer. You may need to reconnect it to the network or update its network settings.
- Firewall/Antivirus: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus settings can block communication between your computer and printer. Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer and check if the printer comes back online.
I hope one of these solutions helps you resolve the issue with your HP LaserJet M209DWE.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
