HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw Color Printer
macOS 15.0 Sequoia

I don't expect this to be solved (there are other old posts with the same issue), just want to leave my complaint about this bad experience for posterity.

I have a LaserJet PRO CP1025nw Color printer.

You can setup the Wifi config and it works ok. But after one day, five days, ten days, you never know, the printer just disables wifi. It has anything to do with bad signal, wifi protocol, a power outage, router, no. * It * just * turns * wifi * off *. You cannot turn it on with the wifi button. I think it's just doing a factory reset. You have to plug the ethernet cable, go to Wireless settings, enable it, chose again the network, enter the password, and hit apply.

I've installed latest firmware of course, no change.

When I bought this printer, I had an old router with WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) which this printer supports. So every time this happened, it was fairly easy to "pair" the printer with the router. Nowadays, routers don't support WPS any more, so every time it decides to turn wifi off, I have a prepared in the drawer a long ethernet cable to hook the printer to the router in the other room temporarily and turn wifi on again.

HP: was it that difficult to implement a correctly working non-volatile memory to store configuration?
