Trying to install/use LaserJet M140W but having trouble. Exclamation point keeps flashing, won't stay online. Can't use resources bc it doesn't recognize the product # found under HP Smart. Can't get a phone # bc it doesn't like my product #. Ready to throw this POS in the road

Hi,
Welcome to the HP support community.
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Able to setup the printer, but after running about 12 copies through it, quit printing with the amber "!" flashing. Tried the press WiFi, CANCEL for 5 seconds several times. Able to see the printer in HP SMART, but is always OFFLINE.
Contacted HP Support and setup a case. Endured 2 hrs in a chat with HP Support and 3 different reps, one on which I allowed to control my system. Rep deleted the another printer configured in HP SMART so I will need to set it up later.
After 3 laps around the track, each time returning to the same HP SMART screen that showed the printer but OFFLINE, ended the support session.
It appears the printer needs a reset other than the 'Press and hold WiFi, CANCEL for 5 seconds', to get passed the OFFLINE mode.

This is the worst printer. Bought it for parents and one month after working it started having this issue. HP chat feature is a huge waste of time. It's obvious the "techs" are working with several people at a time and not focused on a single user. I don't believe they have any real experience. Luckily I bought from Amazon and is going back. Will leave a review with my experience with HP support and the printer and it will be harsh. Last HP product I will ever buy. Period.

I have spent 5 hours trying to resolve this same issue with this printer I bought for my parents. Never buying anything from HP again. Seriously the last straw was using Chat and wasted even more time. Do you guys even have tech experience? Plus instead of fielding multiple people when you are talking to them on Chat can you guys just try and do one call at a time. The lapse time in waiting between responses is ridiculous. I am done with this printer and HP. Luckily I bought it through Amazon and I am turning it in with an Honest review. One star.
