Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently changed my wifi provider and with it, my network  name also changed.

When I tried to to change the network name and password via EWS, the system asked a for username and password when I clicked on the Network section of EWS.

I was able to "reset" all the configurations. When I long press the wifi button, on the "Configuration Report" it says that "wireless" is on and the Status on both IPV4 and IPV6 are "Waiting for a wireless connection", but the issue still persists.

I tried to reinstall the printer via the HP Smart app, the printer is recognized and the process goes well until a pop-up appears also asking for the password (no username requested).

Question: Is there a way to hard-reset the printer and remove this password?

Tks,

Passowrd request via SmartPassowrd request via SmartPassword request on EWSPassword request on EWS

Hi @RodrigoForlin,

I'd like to help!

I understand the printer is requesting a administrator password.

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
