Laserjet Pro P1102w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We have a Laser Printer P1102w which worked well with our NetGear35 R6399 model:R6300v2 router for years before the router died.  The technicians replaced the NetGear router with a Ptp-Link AC1750 Mesh Wi-Fi Router Full Gigabit, Dual Band Archer A7 router.  Now we cannot get our HP P1102w to be recognized through the wireless network.  We have reloaded the driver and also connected the printer directly to the router but still the computer displays that the printer is not connected.  The Tech who installed the new Wi-Fi router stated that the problem is probably that the printer has an old encryption that is not compatible with up to date Wi-Fi routers and, therefore, the printer cannot be used on the wireless network and must be only connected to a specific computer or be discarded as junk.  I believe that there should be a solution particularly when the printer is connected to the new Wi-Fi router.  So how do I correct this situation and get the P1102w back onto the wireless network?  I have updated the Driver and did two firm wire upgrades.  Any suggestions as to how to go wireless with the new router mentioned above?
