I have an older printer that still works well. However the modem died and so have replaced the modem and router. However I cannot get the printer to link to the router. I have switched off and switched back on, restored defaults. I am trying the WPS button on router but the printer gets to 28 seconds to go and says that it has timed out.
I do not know if I can get into the router to put a pin in. I am frustrated and stuck.
Can anyone assist or think of some way I can connect it to the wifi in the house please.
Thanks

Welcome to HP Support Forum. Please use the following instructions to fix:
https://www.hp.com/au-en/campaigns/wireless-printing-center/reconfiguring-system-help3.html
Also
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1736500-1626554-16
Please also note: Your printer may only support 2.4GHz therefore you need to check and allow your router to broadcast both (dual) bands which are 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz.
Regards.

Thanks, the first Doc is not there - 404 error - second doc, I have tried the resetting and no go. I have restored defaults. there is no wireless set up wizard. just WPS or PIN. the WPS times out at 28 - 37 seconds to go, the PIN I cannot get into the router to input the pin. DO I have to throw the printer out the window and buy a new one?

I have a very similar issue. Why can’t you get into your router? Have you tried entering 192.168.1.1 into your browser and using admin as user ID and consult the paperwork for a pw? For the time being, try using a network cable so you can print. What platform are you on?
