Hi @Cindy1108 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you find yourself locked out of your HP OfficeJet 6962 printer and need to set up a new wireless address, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Factory Reset the Printer (Caution: Data Loss):
- Locate the reset button on your printer. It might be a small hole that you can press using a paperclip or a button on the control panel.
- Press and hold the reset button for about 15 seconds. This action will restore the printer to its factory settings.
- After the reset, you should be able to set up the wireless connection again.
Reset Network Settings:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the "Wireless" or "Network" settings.
- Look for an option to reset the network settings.
- After resetting the network settings, you can set up a new wireless connection.
Access the EWS (Embedded Web Server):
- Open a web browser on a computer or device connected to the same network as the printer.
- Enter the printer's IP address in the browser's address bar. You can find the IP address on the printer's control panel or by printing a network configuration page.
- Navigate to the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).
- Look for an option to reset or change the wireless settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
