I changed Internet provider yesterday, so my network name is now different on my phone. I haven't been able to connect to my printer.
I have tried all night and morning checking forums, trying to disconnect my printer from my WiFi, to now connect to my new one with now success. All the steps either make no sense to me, or I'm unable to do so with my printer.
I have 6 buttons on the front (i, x, downward arrow, WiFi, and then another 2 for printing) and a power button on the back. All of the instructions I have come across so far have given me options to do with buttons I do not have, or to access the app and click certain things which aren't also on my Smart app.
I just simply want to disconnect my printer from the old WiFi, and connect to the new one. I didn't think this would be this hard to do, and I need my printer for my business.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Abbymarie93,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to connect your HP ENVY 6020e printer to the new WiFi network, follow these steps:
1. Reset the Printer’s WiFi Settings:
This will disconnect the printer from the old WiFi network and allow you to set up the new connection.
- Turn on the printer.
- On the printer's control panel, press and hold the WiFi button for about 5 seconds until the light starts blinking. This resets the network settings and prepares the printer for a new connection.
2. Set Up the Printer on the New WiFi Network:
Option 1: Using the Printer Control Panel (Wireless Setup Wizard)
- Press the WiFi button again (this will open the Wireless Setup Wizard).
- Use the downward arrow button to navigate through the available networks.
- Select your new WiFi network name (SSID) from the list.
- Enter your WiFi password when prompted, then confirm it.
Option 2: Using the HP Smart App (if available)
- Open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer.
- Add the printer by selecting + or Add Printer.
- Follow the instructions in the app to connect the printer to the new WiFi network.
- If the printer is not detected, you may need to run through the setup again or check that your phone or computer is connected to the same network.
3. Confirm Connection:
After connecting, the WiFi button on the printer should stop blinking and remain solid when the printer is successfully connected to the new WiFi.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
