@LSC12363, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Printer Offline Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP 2700 series printer is showing as offline and you can only print intermittently, especially after upgrading your internet router, here is a list of steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially solve this issue:

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure that your printer is turned on and there are no error messages or flashing lights on the printer itself.

Verify Printer Connection:

  • Make sure your printer is truly connected to the same network as your PC. Sometimes, after a router upgrade, the printer might connect to the wrong network or SSID.
  • Reconnect your printer to the WiFi network through the printer settings.

Set Printer Online:

  • On your computer, go to "Devices and Printers".
  • Find your HP 2700 series printer and right-click on it.
  • If the option “Use Printer Offline” is checked, uncheck it to bring the printer online.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, computer, and router. Wait for a few minutes before restarting them.

Update Printer Driver:

  • Visit HP Support and download the latest drivers for your printer model.

Check for Driver Errors:

  • If you're consistently seeing a driver error message, reinstalling or updating the driver may resolve this issue.
  • Again, you can use the HP Support Assistant to assist with driver updates.

Reconnect Using HP Smart App:

  • If you have the HP Smart app installed on your phone or computer, use it to help troubleshoot and reconnect your printer to the network.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
