Hi @GaryTanner,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 6000 series printer is consistently showing as offline, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue. Here are some suggestions.

Check the Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network.
  • If using a USB cable, make sure it is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
  • If using a wireless connection, ensure that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

Restart Printer and Computer:

  • Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Restart your computer.

Printer Software:

  • Ensure that the printer software/drivers are properly installed on your computer.
  • Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your specific printer model.

Printer Settings:

  • Open the Control Panel on your computer and navigate to "Devices and Printers."
  • Right-click on your HP Envy 6000 printer and make sure it is set as the default printer.
  • Check if there are any print jobs stuck in the print queue and clear them.

Network Issues:

  • If using a wireless connection, ensure that the Wi-Fi signal is stable.
  • Check if other devices on the same network can connect without issues.

Firewall/Antivirus Software:

  • Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can interfere with the connection. Temporarily disable them and check if the printer comes online.

HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • HP provides a tool called "HP Print and Scan Doctor" that can diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. You can download it from the official HP website and run it to check for issues.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website. Updating the firmware may resolve compatibility issues.

Reinstall the Printer:

  • Uninstall the printer software from your computer, restart it, and then reinstall the latest drivers.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot the offline issue with your HP Envy 6000 series printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
