My MacBook (Monterey) Air is not recognizing my HP Laser Jet M209dwe printer. Cartridge needed replacing. I did that. Orange light blinking. Apple Support suggested I remove the printer from the Macbook but it won't recognize it to go back on.

@BarbaraSherry, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I see that you are not able to print from the Mac. To assist you better,
How is the printer connected to the Mac?
If wireless, print the information page by pressing the i button.
Obtain the IP address of the printer.
Perform a ping test to check the connectivity
- Open a new Terminal window (it's located in Applications > Utilities, or you can just start typing it in Spotlight).
- Enter “ping” followed by the IP address of the printer.
- Press Return. Press ctrl C after 10 pings
- There should be 0% packet loss, share the results in your next post.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

When trying printing wirelessly, the message I get is that there is no connection. When plugging the printer in to USB, the printer display on my Mac shows that it is printing the document before the message disappears. I used my old MacBook Pro for years printing on this printer, but I have not been able to print anything after I got my new one utilizing the Monterey 12 OS.
